Young Dancers Program @ Bridge for Dance

KARATE

Students will be introduced to the Art of Goju-Ryu Karate through physical training and sharing of traditional stories.
Participants will develop basic skills, better concentration and an increased awareness of issues related to self-defense. Safety and mutual respect are an integral part of this Martial Arts Program.

NEW STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO OBSERVE A WEDNESDAY OR FRIDAY CLASS AT 4 PM.

Sensei B. Baker-Taganashi has over 40 years experience in practice and teaching and holds a 6th degree black belt in Karate and a 1st degree black belt in Jujitsu. In addition, Sensei (teacher) has taught thousands of students as an Associate Professor at Barnard College (2 years), an instructor at Columbia University (22 years) and at the Calhoun School's After-School Program (16 years).
